“Giorgos is a Athens-based illustrator & cartoonist from Greece.”

Born and raised in northwestern Greece, I’ve been drawing on paper for as long as I can remember. After finishing high school, I moved to Athens to study physics—thus beginning a 20-year journey in the world of science. Yet, no matter how demanding that path became, my mind always wandered back to drawing.
Mostly self-taught, I find joy in exploring all forms of art, from colorful paintings to sculpting. But my true passion lies in pencil and ink sketching, especially cartoon drawing. Whether it’s a single-panel gag or a full-length graphic novel, I love bringing stories to life on the page.
My style has been shaped over the years by the artists I admire—an ever-growing source of inspiration. From Disney legends like Carl Barks, Romano Scarpa, Massimo De Vita, and Luciano Bottaro, to Franco-Belgian greats like Hergé, Moebius, Edgar P. Jacobs, and Savard, their influence runs deep in my work.
Though I tend to favor pen and black-and-white ink, I’m always striving to grow as an artist, experimenting with new techniques and pushing my creative boundaries. Thank you for visiting my world, and I really hope you like it!
G.B.
